Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on November 22, 1985 New York City New York) is awaited for her recognition due to her abilities to perform across various genres from historical dramas, thrillers and action adventures. Johansson daughter of an architect and a producer, was born in New York City. Hunter was the twin of their younger sisters. As a young girl of just 7 years old, she began making auditions for TV commercials. The passion for acting developed quickly and she enrolled immediately at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. At the age of eight old, Johansson appeared alongside Ethan Hawke as Sophistry in Off-Broadway productions. And at age nine, she debuted in Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson played the lead role on screen in Just Cause (1995), before making her big break with Manny & Lo - a story of two sisters and orphans who get away. The Horse Whisperer (2000) where she was a teenager with a deformity caused by an accident, earned her critical acclaim. In Ghost World 2001 (as the young, sarcastic teenager Rebecca), Johansson gained an even greater amount of attention. Like many young actresses she began her career in theatre. She was involved in various productions throughout the USA in the midst of making her debut on stage.
